Requirements for entering Argentina

Entry to Argentina from abroad

Argentina has removed all its sanitary requirements. The government determined that travelers entering Argentina are no longer required to complete an affidavit or present travel medical insurance.

  • Non-vaccinated passengers can enter the country. It’s recommended to do a PCR test prior to traveling but it is not mandatory.
  • Masks are no longer required when entering indoor shops or restaurants, but some airlines will still request its use on board.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you and all members of your party are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents, and in compliance with any other immigration requirements, before you travel.

  • Valid passport with two empty pages available. Expiration date: 6 months from the arrival date
  • To present a valid return ticket.
  • Tourist visa: Check the following list of countries. All those listed “Requiere visa” at the passport column, require a visa to enter Argentina. Only the countries on this list DO NOT require tourist visa when visiting Argentina.
Tourist visa applications must be submitted at any Consular Office of the Argentine Republic at least 60 days prior travelling. More information about the Visa Application process at: Argentinean Tourism Visa.

Recommended:

  • Travel Medical Insurance is not mandatory to enter Argentina; however, we highly recommend passengers take out travel insurance. Your insurance should provide cover against personal accidents, medical expenses, emergency repatriation and personal liability as well as any adventure activities not covered under a standard insurance policy.
  • A PCR or Antigen test to enter Argentina, although it’s not mandatory, we advise all travelers to undergo a diagnostic test before traveling (48 to 24 hours before boarding the international plane) to avoid any inconveniences upon arrival.
